D-CAL Action Programming
D-CAL aims to improve understanding of the preconditions under which community-inclusive climate action measures can effectively be scaled up and consolidated through inclusive multi-stakeholder dialogues that bring local voices and experiences into national implementation processes. Further, D-CAL and its partners will link the project’s findings with regional and global policy processes and will support South-South learning processes. More specifically, the programme:

Enhances best practice exchange between participants, using D-CAL’s existing infrastructure of thematic initiatives and networks.
Participants will be provided with an introduction to best practices on inclusive climate action and will be able to attend webinars and workshops on inclusive climate action and exchange information online and offline.

Provides technical assistance to participants to develop and deliver ambitious climate action plans that are inclusive and fair.
Provides technical assistance to participants to develop and deliver ambitious climate action plans that are inclusive and fair. We will provide participants with the support, training and resources to build their climate action plans.

Provides ground-breaking and innovative research on the links between climate change and inequality, wider benefits of climate action and inclusive climate action in India.
D-CAL invites proposals for community-inclusive climate action including:

Education programming
– We welcome proposals that encourage young people to go beyond institutional boundaries and understand the context surrounding sustainable development.

Direct action initiatives
– We accept proposals for direct action initiatives in the fields of clean energy, clean water, recycling, wastewater treatment, and solid waste management.
D-CAL supports participants by providing research funding and mentorship.
Participants are encouraged to create their action plans with reference to current issues in their local communities, seeking collaboration with NGOs and other on-ground organizations to share their implementation plans.
