On August 10, 2022, D-CAL, in collaboration with the R-Nisarg Foundation, inaugurated the Green Pharmacy Project at the School of Pharmacy, D.Y. Patil University. This initiative aims to promote responsible disposal of pharmaceutical waste and raise awareness about bio-waste management practices.
Partnership Highlights
A. Memorandum of Understanding (MOU): An MOU was signed between D-CAL and R-Nisarg Foundation to facilitate the installation of green bins, initially at the School of Pharmacy and subsequently across the university campus.
B. Guest Address: Ms. Rajlakshmi V. Patil, Founder of D-CAL, delivered the welcome address, emphasizing the importance of climate change initiatives and the role of D-CAL in mitigating environmental impacts.
C. Expert Presentation: Dr. Lata Ghanshyamnani, Co-founder of R-Nisarg Foundation and an alumna of the School of Medicine, presented insights into the Green Pharmacy Project, focusing on data collection of segregated waste and methodologies for effective containment.(iswmaw.com)
Project Objectives
