D-CAL Action Programming

The D-CAL initiative focuses on identifying the conditions needed to effectively scale up community driven climate initiatives. By fostering inclusive, multi-stakeholder dialogue, it ensures that local perspectives are reflected in national climate strategies. D-CAL also aligns its insights with broader regional and international climate policies and promotes knowledge exchange among Global South countries

  • Knowledge Sharing:

Through its extensive network and thematic platforms, D-CAL facilitates the exchange of inclusive climate action strategies. Participants gain access to best practice resources, online and offline events, and hands-on learning through webinars and workshops.

  • Technical Support:

Participants receive guidance and tools to craft impactful and equitable climate action plans. Training, mentorship, and practical resources are provided to support implementation.

  • Research:

D-CAL conducts pioneering research exploring the intersections between climate change, inequality, and the broader socio-economic benefits of inclusive climate responses in India.

  • Call for Proposals:

D-CAL welcomes proposals for community-centered climate projects such as:

    • Educational Initiatives:

Projects aimed at engaging youth in understanding sustainable development beyond academic settings.

    • Direct Action Projects:

Proposals in areas like clean energy, water purification, recycling, and waste management are encouraged.

D-CAL offers funding and mentorship to support selected proposals. Projects should address local environmental issues and seek partnerships with NGOs or grassroots organizations.
